We love mince pies and I like them warmed in the oven with brandy butter, but the rest of my family like to take off the lids and pile the insides with Stilton cheese and then warm until melting!!


This mince mixture is made with grated carrot and apple and liberal sloshes of brandy!   


You can either buy ready made mince meat in a jar, or make your own, for which you should allow a good extra 45 minutes, but the mince meat should ideally be stored in a cool dry place in an air tight clean jar for at least two weeks before use.
